The book was a lot harder for me to get into than the first in the series. But it picked up and got more interesting at the half way point.

Thank you to Tordotcom and Macmillan Audio for providing me with an ARC.

Sapphic murder mystery on a boat with magic what more can I say. This book was great, if you liked the first you’ll love the second. Maud and Violet are my favorites every. I really hope the third book has them back with Robin and Edwin to solve the next piece of the puzzle.

Since I'm writing this review after I've finished book 3 as well, I can confirm that this book is my favourite one in the trilogy!

I loved Maude and Violet's story, I loved the ship setting, and I loved their amateur investigations! I figured out parts of the story, but absolutely failed to see through other parts!

A good story with some very compelling characters!!
