I did want to like this one, but somehow it just didn't hit my sweet spots.

Fiona MacDonald is a keeper, one of a group of humans who ensure that the supernatural creatures who share this world with the humans police themselves and keep under the radar. Jagger DeFarge is a policeman, a detective and also a vampire.

When the second young woman is found drained of blood in a cemetary, the fingers start pointing at vampires, but neither Jagger or Fiona are happy with the accusations and are convinced that there's something else going on.

He really should have just arrested Fiona and got a vampire leader to lock her up in a cell I'm sure they have for containing vampires (she can use some of their powers), so that he could get on with the investigation without her introusions. She kept getting in the way of his work, liking her is not a reason not to stop her from making a mess of the investigation.

Readable but the heroine displayed a little too much too stupid to live traits.
