What an incredible journey. I admire her strength and her ability to share her story. What a powerful statement as well, it gave me chills! One of my favorite quotes:
“I learned it takes nothing to be hostile, nothing. It is easy to be the one yelling, chucking words that burn like coals, neon red meant to harm. I have learned I am water. The coals sizzle extinguishing when they reach me. I see now those fiery coals are just black stones sinking to the bottom.”

The best book I've read this year and highky recommend the audiobook because Chanel reads it herself and she is one hell of a force. Eagerly looking forward to all the future art and literature she creates because it will surely have a message that we will need to hear.

I remember when the story broke out and we were all wondering who Emily Doe was, or, as most media described her: Brock Turner's victim. I was delighted to learn that Emily Doe had stepped out of anonymity and given us her side of the events. Hearing Chanel read her memoir was as touching as it was necessary, if only to understand how devastating sexual violence can be.
