This book felt more comprehensive and expansive than the pages it spans.
I found the scenes, characters, worlds and cultures to have a lot of depth and context, maybe because it's part of a series and I'm reading #4 first.

Probably the most fascinating thing about this book is the play on biases and stereotypes and the path to acceptance and gaining perspective. I also found it to have some attributes of experimenting with a society that's not fixated on a binary view of humanity.

All in all, this book is sure to widen your horizons and entertain you in the process.

this is the kind of book that makes me want to write an essay and have a discussion in class. i feel like i need to talk this book out with other people to really understand how i feel about it. all in all, a thought provoking book that takes a while to get started but is worth it

A slow read, but ultimately a very beautiful story on trust and friendship and finding light in the darkness. Would probably be better on a second read, as you spend the first chunk of the book a bit confused and so caught up learning the world you kind of lose the plot.
