Knocked off a few points because I was sorely disappointed to have figured out the big twist early on, but it didn't take away from the roller coaster ride of reveals that lies within the pages. There was not a single likeable character in this entire book, and I loved it.
Hashtag justice for george.

First off. I cannot justify a 5 star review because I simply hated ALL OF THE CHARACTERS throughout the entire novel. Which in of itself tells you the talent of the author John Mars.
Secondly. HOLY MOLY THIS IS AN JAW DROPPING, SPINE CHILLING, CURSE-WORD INDUCING NOVEL. so so so so good.
Great for fans of triller mystery and true crime. A story that really keeps you in the edge of your seat the entire time you read. Each moment you feel like you knew what was coming only to be greeted with a different twist or turn. Fresh plot and published recently so the COVID lockdown moments just make you feel like you are reading a terrifying story from the newspaper or web. I honestly felt like I was in the middle of a Netflix documentary about a new British Serial Killer. Mars is a genius when it comes to developing the plot to keep you interested and guessing without feeling stale. Would have rated higher if the characters didn’t make me want to scream every other page.
(Also there is some trivia within the novel for folks who are obsessed with British Serial Killers. Won’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil anything)
