these are so sweet! i’m making it a goal now to read all the over the garden wall comics i can find. i especially loved the extra sara content!!

I could have done without the chapters with the animal children with Ms. Langtree, because I prefer the darker storytelling in Over the Garden Wall in general, but this was an entertaining volume nonetheless.

Ohhh I need more!!!!

Jim Campbell’s art and storytelling are a joy and rewarding to take in as a fan of the series. The story of the woodsman’s daughter is suitably moving, though its connection to the show, in atmosphere rather than tone, seems a bit stretched.

Silly and fun. The school house stories are super cute and I love that Pooree the elephant looks like Babar. The “Hero Frog” through-line is not so compelling, but the humor and characters kept me happy.
