I miss Matt Smith's Doctor so when I found this at a used book store, I def grabbed it. Was a fun little story and very in character. The artwork was a little offputting though at times.

A fun little adventure of the the 11th Doctor with Amy. Based on the text clues it is set not long after they left set off on their first adventures together.

It was a fun story, in the 11th Dr Who tradition of random adventure without too much innovation or too much depth. (poor 11th, he got stuck with some of the less interesting plots in the show, and it sank into the comics, too)

adventurous funny fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No
  • Loveable characters? Yes
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

This is a really fun little jaunt featuring the 11th Doctor and Amy Pond and is set early in the 5 season. Great fun!

LOLOLOLOL.

I got a thing for the first issue in this collection (I knew it was going to be awful) but LOL.

That was more awful than I thought it was possible to be. Especially the drawings.

Case in point.

Out of the few Doctor Who graphic novels I've read, this one is probably the best so far. The story is actually convincing of something you would see on the show and for the most part Sturges got the personality of Eleven down. The art on the other hand was not the best but still better than some other DH comics I've read. All in all 3/5 stars. Enjoyable but not anything amazing.

I really enjoyed this one, I'm glad that I ignored all of the negative reviews. Are there some issues? Yes, namely that it sometimes bordered on cheesy and the art is horrendous. The best thing about Matt Smith's regeneration is that his taglines die with him, I was never much a fan of Geronimo, and I am beyond tired of the 'bow ties are cool' line being used to death....in this comic the Doctor actually says "I like lances, lances are cool".

Otherwise I thought this was a pretty entertaining romp. It really isn't the most original idea, see [b:Westworld|22080|Westworld|Michael Crichton|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1298961031s/22080.jpg|23148], but it worked and I was entertained.

I quite liked the story, but I think some of the art was a little off. The art wasn't cartoonish, but it wasn't 100% realistic either...
