Finished in 2 days because the plot was so boring and i skimmed most of it. I liked the banter between Averil and the witch, it was pretty cute. I like it when this big scary dude gets all flustered by Averil who usually doesn’t even know what she’s doing. Watching her explore her new human body and human customs was quite fun. She gets the hang of it pretty quickly though.

The writing is a bit juvenile. A lot of the exposition is ‘Person A explains plot while person B sits and listens.’ Theres a bunch of plot holes that i think are dumb and could have easily been avoided , although maybe i missed some parts because i wasnt really paying attention. The author cant seem to decide whether the Witch is evil or not. I kinda had to roll my eyes when it would state that he is super evil when he very clearly isnt. Especially when

they reveal that he was actually the good guy all along and he used to be a really good king, unlike the current king who is eeeeeviiiiil, actually.

just let the man be evil or give him a proper character arc.

Spicy scenes were just ok. Probably not as much tentacle action as you’d hope. And you have to read boring plot to get to the spice. Probably won’t reread.
