Fun follow up.

I shouldn’t let this count as a book because it was so short - but sequel to 28 summers. Closed up lose ends. Meh.

Very short but summed up 28 Summers. I liked it.

Bleh... I actually liked 28 Summers (yes, despite the affair). But I hated Ursula and wished Jake and Mallory had just ended up together. So for this to end up the way it did, no. I just could not.

Well written but I wish I’d never read it. To circle back to where it began, pretending it’s for the best is not the ending I’d hoped for.

I would have preferred to just leave it at the ending of 28 Summers. This seemed totally unnecessary, as it didn’t really change anything.

I initially thought I should have read 28 Summers first and that is correct. I almost don’t want to give this a full review until I do. I'm assuming I didn’t really like this book/it was fast-paced to me because the characters were fully introduced and flushed out in the first book. I can definitely tell this is an add-on because it picks up right in the middle of things. Going into the characters’ current lives and history with one another. But from reviews that I am seeing from other readers—some who had read 28 Summers—also didn’t like this addition very much.

I almost wish this wasn’t its own book. It makes rule-breakers like me tempted to read it out of order. I think it would have faired better as an epilogue—even though it's a little long for that. I went ahead and finished the book because it was short and because I wanted to have it read when I finally read the prequel. My advice, read the books in order. Don’t pick this one up before 28 Summers because it won’t make much sense.
lighthearted relaxing

This was a wonderful return to the characters from 28 Summers. It was fun to learn what everyone is up to now. I still hope Bess and Link appear in another story someday.
