I didn't get enough of these characters after 28 Summers, so it was fun to read this cute short story.
I wasn’t a huge fan of 28 summers so I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this continuation at first, but surprisingly I liked it better! It gave needed closure to a lot of the characters, however I did NOT like the ending. I wanted better for Jake.
Also, I could have done without all the pandemic references. I get that 28 summers used to recap the highlights of each year, but it felt unnecessary then and it still feels unnecessary now.

Cute short follow up to 28 Summers. Curious to see if these characters could continue in future books.
I really liked the ending to 28 Summers so wish it had just ended with that book. This story seemed forced. Although per Elin, in 2023, Covid will be a distant memory!
The year is 2023 and the book opens just as every chapter from 28 Summers with a snippet of what’s going on in the world. This is the follow up postscript to one of my most beloved summer reads. Where are they now? Jake and Ursula. Mallory’s good friend, Leland. Link. Coop. Well, we get to find out as there is another meet up on Nantucket after Coop proposes to potential wife number six.
28 Summers closed with me asking a big question about Link. My question was answered in this story. I loved this little follow up, but of course without Mallory it just wasnt the same.
If you liked 28 Summers, of course you have to read this.

Decent epilogue type mini story. It’s nice to know where characters end up sometimes.
