The definitive text on the subject. Such a fluid, engrossing read!

This is an absolutely solid book, with interesting info about the history and potential future of remote work but also of productivity culture, work-life balance, and communities of care. I'm not sure exactly who the audience for this is and maybe neither do the authors, but there's a little bit of something for everyone in here.

An interesting read! There were times that it was totally relatable and honestly felt like it was me thinking those thoughts.

The book discusses a lot about the problems of working from home but never provides solutions to those issues. A lot of the “solutions” presented were at the high level (society, company leadership, etc.), never at the individual level. I wish there was more of that, but then this might have turned more into a self-help book.

Writing was well done! Was a very thought-provoking book.

Some great insights and ideas. I got more out of the first 2/3 of the book but it does provide some good topics to think about as we all return to the office and re-examine what corporate culture looks like.

This book is a good reminder that you don't work from home in order to work from home. You work from home in order to expand your opportunities for life.

It was a good book to read while reflecting on another year of working from home, but it was very covid focused and didn't say anything new.

Abandoned - this was due back at the library, and I was not interested in it. The chapter or two I read was not enjoyable to me.

Solid book post-pandemic looking at the impacts of remote work. Begins with a look at how remote work is framed and can be used well or poorly for the benefit of employees, then shifts towards looking at how we view work as a whole and how remote work - effectively designed and managed - can allow space for pursuing non-work life while helping workers avoid burnout. Main categories of flexibility, culture, technology, community were well structured and provided some good insight. A somewhat depressing, somewhat hopefully book about the possible futures of work is worth a read for sure.
