I could not put this book down. The journey Lena, Theo and Alexandre take is so compelling and purely human. She does and excellent job combining historically accurate representation of disable people and the horrors of world war 2.

This book has it all! Magic, love, ruin, and an ending to match the sweeping story. Strong women, life and death decisions, in such a powerful telling during a time of war. A must read and now one of my all time favorites!

Not enough words to describe how much I loved this. I wish I could read it for the first time all over again

This book kept me up until 1am to finish it, what more can I say? I was completely gripped. It had the circus elements that I love combined with a couple of much deeper back stories. The conclusion did not disappoint.
