Sarah Addison Allen books make me smile and this one is no different.

My favorite line from the book is this: Once you accumulate enough regrets in life, they cease to hurt you.

I enjoy magical books. Not fantasy. Magic.

Oh, such a beautiful story. The author's note at the end of the acknowledgements truly touched me as well. I also loved how the story closed with Pigeon.

I have loved every one of SAA’s books and was eagerly anticipating this one, especially after such a long hiatus. But this one fell totally flat for me. The characters weren’t developed, the plot had odd side jaunts that never went anywhere, and loose ends were left hanging. The whole thing felt like more of a rough outline than a book.
