The way I love Tarq and Naira so fucking much!!!

This one was interesting in that I felt like a fucking shit ton of events happened, way more than the first book. And on top of all the events, you don't know what the fuck is going on for, pretty much the entirety of the book. Wanna talk about unreliable narrators???? Jesus christ between Fletcher and the cannis, I have never felt more gaslight by a book, oh my god.

Speaking of Fletcher, he's absolutely horrible, but also I found him so compelling. I was invested in all the scenes he was in, he was an excellent character to dive more deeply into in the second book and honestly
I kinda want him back he was so entertaining.

I Think I liked the first book better bc it had a more coherent and consistent plotline. Like I said, I lot of shit happens in this book and I felt like it was almost too much? Like I wanted to take a step back and breathe with some of the information that was presented to us. Also on a couple of ocassions, a period of time passes and we're just told about what happened during that time, rather than shown. I kinda get why it was done that way for the story, and I didn't mind it too much, but was something that I noted.

I love that queerness is just seamlessly blended in here.
