I'm so confused on what actually happened. Everyone is so unreliable that I'm not sure who was telling the truth.

Like binge watching a show and getting to the end and saying, “What did I just read?” A waste of my life even though the writing is excellent.

This was a riveting, twisty thriller that kept me enthralled the entire time! The audiobook production is especially well done. It has a full cast, and mock recordings/podcast episodes that veer into graphic audio territory with the sound effects. I’d definitely recommend listening to this one.

I already feel like I want to reread it, and I had that thought consistently as I progressed through the book.

The ending was a bit unsatisfying/vague in a negative way. I was left with a little bit of “that’s it?” The “basic bitch” line was also not the serve Alix thought it was. My face was this: 🥴

There are several extremely dark themes (adult/minor relationship, pedophilia, murder, incest to name a few) but nothing is “on page” or spelled out, just discussed.

I’d recommend this for new and old thriller fans.

This book is captivating, dark, and twisted. It made me feel much of what I felt reading Verity by CoHo. The proximity of when I read Verity might’ve spoiled the novelty of this kind of story for me. However, I found the format to be creative, bouncing between narratives—past and future, the various “witnesses.” I also enjoyed the suspense of not knowing which narrative, if any, is reliable.

Great page turner and very twisty but the themes in this book…..!!!!! 😵‍💫
How can the author justify making a pedophile the victim in this story, and person he groomed a villain just because she ends up being a murderer!!!!  MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

I was really excited for this book. I definitely hyped it up more in my head so I ended up being a little let down.

Overall, it was twisty and weird. I loved the concept of the plot but wasn’t 100% thrilled with the execution.

I would have loved to seen more with Josie’s family. Some truth.

I think what I don’t like about this book is the unreliable characters & how you don’t actually know what’s completely true.
