“None of this is true” by Lisa Jewell, will be a summer hit, no doubt. At the heart of the story is Alix and Josie - opposites in life but birthday twins. Alix Summers is a successful podcaster with the ‘ideal’ life, a rich husband - Nathan, a nice house and 2 wonderful children.

Josie Fairs is married to a man 28 years older than her, Walter and leads a relatively quiet life. Alix and Josie’s lives become intertwined after their 45th birthday celebrations in the same gastropub. What starts as the relatively harmless creation of a podcast called “Hi! I’m your birthday twin”, ends well, very, very badly.

None of this is true”, is well written, gripping and addictive; and I read it over 3 sittings in 24 hours - I especially enjoyed the insertion of transcription snippets from both the podcast and the subsequent Netflix special.

Thank you netgalley and the publishers for an Arc in exchange for an honest review
