I absolutely loved this slasher! It has a bit of a slow start but that didn't bother me. It was funny at times and nostalgic (and made me feel old relating to the mom about growing up in the 90s! lol). I enjoyed getting to know the characters. The deaths were .. how do I put it ... creative. Interesting. And heart-wrenching because I cared about the characters. I didn't guess the killer! And the book punched me. It. Punched. Me. In the feels. It made me cry.

A fun little slasher that really takes the time to expand its central characters before killing them off in creative ways.

This one was sort of predictable (and honestly, I was rather reminded of the mess that is the fourth Scream movie by the end of this,) but I did genuinely enjoy going through this! I've seen a couple of different HorrorTubers recommend this one from time to time, and I had my misgivings at first as to whether or not I should bother reading this. But as I said, this was entertaining and it gave me that fun sort of teen summer slasher vibe I was looking for in a fast read. It's worth checking out if you're wanting that same sort of itch scratched.
