I loved this book. Loved Shiloh and Ramsey. Good end of the series

I could have been be nice to not have the FMC being kidnapped.

The bonus epilogue made me tear up.

What a great ending to an awesome series! I didn't binge this one quite as quickly as I did the other ones but I still loved Ramsey and Shy's story and especially Shy finally getting to shine in her own story 🤍 Ramsey is the epitome of "I hate everyone but you" and goddd, it was so adorable! We got some great plot developments and especially with the closing scenes, it was a real full-circle moment. I loved seeing so many scenes of all the siblings together, too!

Cowles saved the best for last with Fractured Sky. I absolutely loved the pairing of Shiloh and Ramsey. Both had tragic pasts they had done major healing from and were trying to move and live their lives. The hope and comfort they brought each other was so sweet. I loved how the horse rehabilitation ranch and two kids who end up spending time there added to the story. There were so many great, healing moments along with the romance. I even loved how Shiloh's family and her relationships with them started to completely mend. And then there was the romantic suspense plot. Poor Shiloh had them coming at her from all directions! I didn't see the twist coming, but I should have expected it! This book was the best way to end the series. I loved it.

CW: kidnapping, child abuse, child neglect, animal abuse, violence, gun violence

Ms. Cowles finishes the series with the MFC that was kidnapped as a child. Shiloh still deals with residual trauma from her abduction. She finds comfort in sitting and watching Ramsey work with troubled horses on his farm. Ramsey also has a broken past and understands what it takes to make things heal. After Shiloh learns that her abductor died while in prison, she takes the step to move out of her parents' house. She feels safe on Ramsey's land and he offers her use of his guest cabin in exchange for help with the horses on his farm. I enjoyed watching the work with the horses and each other. Even though this is a romantic suspense, the conflict level is kept pretty low. There is a large twist during the climax that I appreciated. Ramsey and Shiloh's path to love was more like a gentle slide and worked wonderfully for their characters.
