Suburban horror is a new genre to me, and I found this not only deeply unsettling but also incredibly sad. Working in Adult Social Care with folks like Mrs Fingal made it hit home all the more.
It was an engaging read but not an enjoyable one, and I’d have liked to see a comeuppance for Josh at the end too. The sleazy bastard.
