**I received a copy of Pirate's Promise from Entangled Publishing in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are my own and not solicited in any way.**

Pirate's Promise by Lisa Kessler is part of the authors Sentinels of Savannah Series I have read all of the books and each one gets better and better. For me revisiting some of the places I visited in Savannah years ago brings back wonderful memories.

Since this is the Greyson, The Master Gunner and Aura a Paranormal agent who is part of Warehouse 13 trying to find the Legendary Norse Tyrfing Sword which has the ability to slice through any material and was stolen from the vault.

However each character will have to use their strengths to keep the sword from enticing them and get it back safely from to vault from Scotland. The last time Greyson was in Scotland he was standing at the gallows for a crime he didn't commit. Aura will have to face a person from her NYPD career who wasn't entirely human. Can they get the sword back in the vault because it causes more havoc? Will Aura drink from the Grail so that her love for Greyson is forever?

Loved! With so much action going on, this page-turner was hard to put down.
I enjoyed this addition to the Sentinels of Savannah series. And the last few chapters were more emotional than I expected and Greyson was...so...swoony.

Greyson Till, the immortal Master Gunner of a pirate ship has been growing his weapons collection for a long time. When secret division Department 13 contacts his crew to help them retrieve a legendary sword that has gone missing from their vaults.

The Department sends along their paranormal weapons expert Aura Henderson, who is not happy about who she has being paired with. The last time she saw the immortal pirate was when he blew her cover. And now, they have to pose as a married couple.

Neither is especially thrilled with this arrangement but Aura feels like she let her boss down after her cover was blown. And Greyson will protect her at all costs because it's his job.

Thanks so much to the author, Entangled and NetGalley for this ARC to review

Sea Dog crew are back and as salty as ever!

They may be Immortal but that sure doesn't prevent them from finding trouble. The crew is also expanding at a rate of knots with all these soulmates they keep finding. Now the crew's master gunner is in Cupid's crosshairs!

Department 13 oare supposed to be the good guys but with any shady, grey area government department sometimes they do more harm than good. But when they are the ones to lose an ancient relic, this time it's the Pirates turn to get them out of hot water. But they are going to have a bit of a voyage beforehand - the relic has turned up in Scotland - once home of said Master Gunner!

Add in Dept 13 counterparts, obviously, of course, MI13 and there is an international incident just waiting to happen!

I was going to love this book from the outset. A - Immortal Pirates B - Set in Scotland and C - Kickbutt Agent Aura Henderson! Okay so B means I'm a wee bit biased - I am actually Scottish but there is nothing worse than a badly written Scots character or setting and this had neither! Aura may have her doubts about the veracity and staying power of a bunch of pirates but her newly minted partner has her wires buzzing. Greyson sure is easy on the eyes (okay brain cells if we're being pedantic).

Dirty deals, double agents, body stealing demons, werewolves - there is something for everyone to enjoy. The characters are scrappy, sparky, intelligent and have great chemistry. The Sea Dog is almost a character itself and the camaraderie of the crew is like one big, dysfunctional family. They may have bones to pick with each other (you can't be together for centuries and not fall out over something) but you go up against one and they'll all come after you!

Hoist the main sail my hearties and sail away with the Sea Dog crew!

This book was so much fun to read! It was my first novel by Lisa Kessler and believe me it will not be my last.
It reminded me a lot of Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series. It has all kinds of supernatural aspects: Immortal pirates, psychics, werewolves, demons and mythical swords. It also has a thrilling adventure and a well developed enemies to lovers romance. The side characters were great. They had so much mystery to them. I wish we got a little more than the tiniest sneak peak of their stories. I guess that is what the rest of the series is for. I just wanted a tad bit more explanations to get me invested. All in all, I am so glad I decided to pick this up.
I can’t wait to see what else this series and author has in store.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for a copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.
