Brit Bennett is such a talent writer that I can’t imagine anything she writes not working for me. But this was so stunning. The way that this book balanced motherhood and pregnancy with a girl who had lost her mother was nothing short of spectacular. This was both a small town drama with incredible gossip and a commentary on womanhood, friendship, love, age, and motherhood. Wow.

Another very engrossing book by Brit Bennett! Very fun read that kept me craving more. I enjoy the mystery that Bennett wraps and weaves into each of her books, but sometimes find it hard to understand where she's going with it. Overall, good book, but was left with some open questions.
My issues with the book fell with the three main characters and my inability to connect/understand their decisions/actions.
