The perfect ending to the trilogy.

Although I enjoyed the ending, I feel like it pales in comparison to the first two books in the trilogy, so my actual rating is 3.5 stars (technically I would say 3.7 if that was something I could do). Either way, I’ve been waiting for this series to conclude since the start and I’m glad to have taken this journey with you, Mr. London! :)

I really enjoyed this last book. The bond between the twins and finding a compromise in the end was so intriguing. Every time I reached a checkpoint so to say, I just kept reading.

OH MY GOD. The entire series is amazing, but this one might just be my favorite. I loved the way they tackled love, grief, family, and community. I loved the way they talked about healing generational trauma and mistakes and choosing to give mercy and forgiveness, especially when it’s hard. I cried a lot and laughed and smiled more. The characters all feel like humans, no matter how messed up their actions are. I loved every minute of this series.

ok so i think it did a good job of staying pretty consistent in terms of quality, though it was kinda meandering at times. nyall
deserved better, but also should have respected kylee's rejection
, and also also i could not read his name without thinking "one direction," which i've never even really been into (*tucks hair behind ears, ~quirkily~*). didn't affect the review lol but just a note. jowyn is still best character, the ghost eagle mythology was cool. the writing was ok, and i highly appreciated the bird puns. however, it just somehow wasn't enraptoring like i wish it had been. but, to quote some rando on goodreads: "i'm so happy an author published a gay fantasy book about birds."

oh, such a disappointment.

i said that the second book wasn't as bad as second books go. but third books are supposed to be the show-stopping wrap-up.

there was one really nice part of this book. it was kylee and grazim's partnership/friendship. they were so efficient and grazim was my favorite character in the series.

the end was lowkey confusing.
