There are a couple of reasons why this book didn't get the full 5-stars, but I am still generally happy how this series ended. I still want more though, which is always a wonderfully bittersweet feeling when more isn't coming.

the way i had to put this book down multiple times, even though i was dying to see where his journey was going, solely because i was fully dreading reaching the last page. but!! apollo’s character development was so well written and i won’t ever recover from such a brilliant series. but thanks a lot rick for making me cry
when apollo went back to say his goodbyes - annabeth and percys??? may as well have just stabbed me tbh. and dragging the realisations of jason’s death out across all three novels is CRUEL.
