Continuing my TBR project:
This is one the oldest selection on my TBR list - Originally added February 16, 2017.

I had high expectations about this book. Maybe too high because I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would. To me, it was too much war story and not enough crime drama.

Conclusie: tja, 1 ster.

This book has been called a “literary thriller,” but the thriller part fell flat. It was frustratingly full of holes, with too many characters, and too much confusion. And I hated the ending. So many loose ends left untied. The whole premise of the book makes no sense.

Fortunately, Derek B Miller’s writing is beautiful, and there are passages that stick with me enough to carry it despite the tenuous plot. He may be more suited to literary fiction than thrillers.

Fabulous characters and a story well told equate to an extremely enjoyable read. When I dread the end of a story, I know the author has done his or her job masterfully.

Sheldon Horowitz deserves to be long remembered. Carried away by events, he is more than up to the task of handling what life has chosen to place in his path. No spoilers here, but this one is definitely worth a read.

Some of the best reading spurs questions by the reader about their lives, friends, and families. "Norwegian by Night" delivered on that, and more.

Enjoy the ride. You won't want it to end.
