Not a fun pop star memoir. Lily Allen is brutally honest in this, and very self aware and I have a new appreciation for her after reading it. It’s not perfect - sometimes it feels like she’s namedroppinf (even though that really is just what her life was like) and there are a couple of glaring errors (at one point she describes creeping on her ex boyfriend’s Facebook account in 2003) but on the whole it was a good read.

What a brutal, honest, and tragic story. It is clear from the beginning that Lily has mental health concerns (dispite her saying it in the blurb). There is a ball of anxiety which builds and builds the further you get into this book, and it really doesn't go away. Kudos to her for speaking about the horrible things she's done, and the terrible choices she's made. and good for her for speaking out about the horrible things other people have done to her. It's better late than never.
