I listened to this and I really feel like you should because she gave the reading her all. Some really honest difficult truths were shared and I appreciate that love u lily xo

First of all, I really liked the book, 3.7 or even 3.8 stars just for the honesty and refreshing writing style.
I love how self reflected and aware she is in this book, love how she is raising awareness and outspoken she is for mental health issues, refugees, mysisoginy, stalking, sexual assault and feeling of loneliness.
Yet, although she is self aware and mentions this over and over again throughout the book, you, as an average reader, still feel a lot of her seemingly still prevailing narcissism and her relativity system of privilege, money, fame and drugs in this book, which makes it sometimes hard to access a state of relatability to her
or fully comprehend some of her decisions she made.
Some passages just left me thinking, that she is badass and I applauded her courage and persistency (talking especially about the stalker chapter).
All in all, it was a great, easy read and I wish her all the best for her personal and professional journey, and hope she continues to use her voice and keeps her honesty and wit in her writing.

3.5 stars. Covers codependency, fame, breakups, breakdowns. This is more than a gossipy celebrity memoir, and listening to Allen narrate the audiobook makes it all the more personal and raw. She is completely honest about her tendancy towards excess, and addictive personality. It's very clear that this is the story of her truth, I'm sure other people in her life have different versions of events. Something I think she did particularly well was paint a blistering picture of the UK tabloid press & how they demonize and harass people, particularly young women. An easy listen.

A refreshingly honest autobiography. Quick to read but a really interesting look into the ups and downs of a very public life.
