This was an enjoyable easy read, it's a sci-fi alien romance with a fated mate insta-love trope. It's not a very complicated story and more of a palette cleanser and I enjoyed this for exactly what it is a fluffy feel good romance that didn't tax the brain too much.

The basic premise is a bunch of women get kidnapped from their lives and transported across space by the military mostly for the skills they possess as they are all students in their chosen field and also that they are young fertile women. The powers that be want the resources from this planet but It's a potential suicide mission hence using semi-qualified students instead of the real deal.

Obviously, everything goes to hell in a handbasket and CeCe then finds herself rescued by her fated mate Buroudei, the Gahn of his tribe. There's a language barrier, plenty of heat and lots of over-the-top dramatic declarations. If you take this in the spirit it's intended and not too seriously you can't go wrong. It's not going to win any awards but it was enjoyable all the same and I'd pick up the next one when I'm in the mood for an angst-free feel good easy read.

I enjoyed it although I didn't really get the ending about moving to neutral territories just for the humans when they don't even know how to survive in the sea sands. Maybe it will be explained better in the other books :)

I found this interesting and a bit awkward. The whole fated physical attraction but unable to communicate was both funny and sad for the characters. Cece was lucky to have a background in linguistics.

It was a quick read and it was good.

I found myself multiple times smiling at some scenes. When Buroudei called Cece "Zeezee" IT WAS SO CUTE AND HOW THEY TRIED TO COMMUNICATE. Had me swooning and shi.

I really recommend it if you wanna read something quick and short, was funny and entertaining.

I recommend this book.

This is another "mars needs women" book, but this one surpasses most of the others I have read with this trope. It starts much the same as others where human women "fall from the sky", and barbarian alien males "rescue" them. Then the fated mates trope takes over. From here, the world and character building is superb. You feel like you really know the characters.

The book ends with the MMC and FMC together HEA. It does end in what feels like the middle of the story, though it's not exactly a cliffhanger. You really will need to read this series in order. I plan on continuing the series.
