This was a sweet story and a great twist on the tale of sleeping beauty from another prospective. I just love T. Kingfisher’s writing style and how she brings in so many perspectives and backgrounds, beliefs into her stories and none of it seems forced it is simply a natural part of the world and I love how it feels like real life while being a fantasy setting at the same time.

i really liked the idea of powers drawing from the different elements of the world and them having a mind of their own of sorts. i liked toadling too and it was a fun kinda creepy take
