One of the best post-apocalyptic books I've read in a long time! I didn't knew what to expect and I didn't order the rest of the books. I was very wrong and now I have to wait their delivery :((((
Interesting scenario, but I couldn't really connect to the characters. Especially the protagonist is a bit bland.

Olipa jännittävä & otteessaan pitävä kirja! Tekisi mieli matkustaa Moskovaan perusteelliselle metrokierrokselle. :)
Miinuksena mainittakoon, ettei kirjassa ollut ainuttakaan naista minkäänlaisessa roolissa, hmph.

I needed a map of the Moscow metro to follow this book, and happily found one made just for my purposes, complete with a key to explain which groups of people settled in each station, and which hazards were in which tunnels. Very helpful for making sense of this dark and confusing world.

I love a scary dystopia, and this one was just ok. It was a little long, the protagonist was too feline (9 lives), and the translation seemed off at times. Some elements were interesting, although I'm not sold that this group of people would have survived for decades on mushrooms and foul water, or that there'd be enough cartridges available to use as currency when clearly they needed them for survival. I probably won't seek out #2 in the series unless I'm feeling a particular distopian itch.
"His mission and man's attempt to survive in the changed world were worthless. There was nothing: just an empty, dark tunnel he was supposed to plot his way through, from 'Birth' station to 'Death' station. Those looking for faith had simply been trying to find the side branches in this line. But there were only two stations, and only tunnel connecting them."
