A really enjoyable, fast and humorous read. Max is relatable and charming and much like the 1st volume I rooted for him from beginning to end. A really quick 180 for the antagonists but that's my only criticism and it's not even that big of a deal considerding the space left in the book.

Love this story! It is still very emotional, and some moments just hit so hard. I could easily feel the characters pain in several of the scenes. You'll have to decide if that is a good or bad thing on your own. For me, it's good. It makes me feel less alone. Knowing there are other people out there with similar experiences, worries, and pains makes me feel like I'm not sitting on an island trying to survive by myself.

This story is very beautiful and I love that the character growth. It's so easy to be caught up in our own heads and only see the world through our filter. This story is a reminder that what's best for us, isn't what's best for everyone.

I really love this and will be buying a copy for my own shelf. And maybe another copy to lend out to friends.

I rate this graphic novel 4.5 stars ⭐️.

What do you mean Tobi is straight??? Am I crazy, I thought it was heavily implied throughout both books Tobi was 💅🏼 or queer/bi and that they’d end up as an item, or am I projecting and insane??? I can’t be alone in being low-key mad they didn’t end up together after all that edging throughout the books.

Sean asking Max out would’ve been way cuter if it wasn’t all rushed at the end and made to be a gimmick. Kinda mad/sad about it.

Also I want more!! More magical boy and more from their universe in general!! So many plots!! Jen and Pyper, I guess Sean and Max as a couple. (Though I’m still low-key bitter it’s not Tobi).

Great follow-up to Magical Boy, Vol. 1. I would just say the same thing
I said in my review for vol. 1, sometimes the text boxes and font were hard to follow and read. This is a needed and beautiful graphic novel.
