I enjoy it but it felt a bit repetitive. Summary: create! your creations do not need to change the world neither make you rich. Create because you want to and do it every day!

Elizabeth Gilbert gives a realistic view on creativity and gives excellent advice on how to live creatively . I think this book would be best for someone who is an artist or writer and is looking for support. As someone who doesn't have a specific urge to create I found it inspiring as well because she describes living creatively as really accessible. She also addresses the struggle of not having a passion which is something that I and many other people have struggled with. Her use of anecdotes give some meaning to her explanations as well. Over all a good read.

To be honest, I just wanted to listen to a book just so I can drown out my cousins. All of the books on my tbr were not available for like, 4+ weeks so I chose this book.

First off, I didn't know that it was nonfiction, but I still thought that the topic was interesting. Second, this book is giving "me! Me! Me!" All the time. So definitely not my first choice, but it was a good cousin-sound-drowner.

Interesting look at the concept of creativity across all genres and mediums. I don’t necessarily agree with a lot of her concepts but there are enough good nuggets to take away that make it worth reading.
