A very informative book. It’s not one you finish in a week. You need to think and read and then repeat. A lot of research has gone into the book. It made me think in a different way. It’s a different perspective on the rat race we put ourselves and our kids to get over specialization and it made me think. Overall it’s a a good book that’s why the 4 star review.

On the other hand it was super dry for me in some parts and same book could have the same impact if it was shortened.

Filled with stories of people who made it big while being a generalist. Makes the same point over and over again using these stories in the entire book. Boring. The message of the book could have been a blog post. Tim Ferriss's video about the debate of Generalist v Specialist is sufficient knowledge on this topic I feel.

Very Gladwellian, in the sense that the idea seems to have come first and the cherry-picked evidence afterward. Still enjoyable, of course.
