the first 100 or so pages of this book were pretty hard to get through just because it felt like they were really dragging. the writing style of this book left something to be desired—it almost felt somewhat juvenile, with the definitions and stuff. i feel like angie’s character development was supposed to be profound and inspiring, but to me it kind of just felt like it was reinforcing society’s ideal image and idk i guess it just kind of left me unfulfilled and a bit frustrated. nevertheless, i do think there were a couple of solid messages in this book, and there were definitely a couple of moments that warmed my heart.
