Opal has the most angst of the series so far. And I'm here for it! The WB/CW teen drama nostalgia continues to be strong. And watch out for the cliffhanger. It's a doozy.

I can't decide if this book warrants a 4 star rating or a 3.5, but it easily is my favorite book in the series so far. It was the first time after finishing one of the books, I actually bought the next book and planned to read it next. I'm sure the cliffhanger at the end had a lot to do with that as well.

If I could give this book negative stars, I would.

"Simmer down, Kitten, before I have to get you a ball of yarn to play with." OOOOOH Daemon!! You're too fabulous!
Oh my god, that ending! The hell?!??! I have to read some other books before bookcon, but I NEED TO READ ORIGIN NOW!!!!!
Okay, this book series is getting a lot more serious. I have to admit, I kind of missed the lightheartedness of the first two books, but the story starts to evolve into something really interesting and cool IMO.
And boy, did I LOVE Dawson. I LOVE him. Poor baby! I just want to see him happy. The entire book, I had to cuddle a pillow and pretend it was him not to loose it. I think I'd read an entire book series just about him and his time in Daedalus! He has become my favorite (?) character, along with Daemon of course!
But yeah, Dawson. Ma Baby!
Ugh, and who did I hate? Well, definitely BLAKE! He was the most annoying rat on this planet! Isn't he the biggest creeper on this planet?! Ugh, he got WAY to much time in this book. Every scene he is in is basically him being like "Katy here, Katy there." She is NOT interested. She has Daemon! Why would she EVER choose you, Blake?

Best one yet! Daemon and Katy are soooo good together. Who knew he could be such a romantic? The plot of the Luxen vs. the government vs. the Arum really amps up in this story. Blake returns and resumes his title of king asshat. The cliffhanger ending was absolutely brutal. I dare say that Ms. Armentrout was poking a little fun at our neediness when Katy said:
"It sucked—sucked worse than people who pirated books, sucked more than waiting a year for the next book in a beloved series, and sucked more than a brutal cliffhanger ending"
I. Need. To. Know. What. Happened. Now!

I'm running out of ways to say how much trash I am. The end. But not really because it's time for the next fucking book goddamn it.
