I think I like this one slightly more than the last but I overall think I’d like it more if I wasn’t reading this series back to back. The overall structures of the stories felt like they were following the same pattern. The characters start off hating each other, by about 35% they establish a “casual” physical relationship, and then inevitably fall in love without telling each other. Eventually they confess, something big and scary happens where the FMC almost dies but doesn’t, and then the threat they’ve been dealing with is eliminated permanently. 

That’s not bad for one book, but three in a row made this book start to feel a little boring. I was also hoping for an emotional moment when Reese offers to be a surrogate for Ruby and Charlie since that was teased in the first two books. 

I’m still looking forward to Wyatt and Fallon getting their shit together. I’m thankful that book is a few weeks out because I don’t think I could read a fourth book in this series so soon.

I love a good cowboy romance, and this one fit the bill! It has kind of an enemies-to-lovers vibe. She comes to the ranch, and he thinks she is one spoiled princess. Little does he know she is broken and trying to heal herself. I loved that this book had mental health rep, and it was done so well. The romance aspect had the perfect amount of banter and swoon-worthy moments. This was such a good story. A definite read!

Man I am so sad now. I put a story on Instagram that I was nervous for book 4 because the heroine is prickly and those can be hard for me to enjoy. She comes into my mentions and claims I am being hateful and then blocks me so I can't access her posts anymore. So unfortunately I am going to put her on my not to read list anymore. It makes me sad because her writing really was so engaging for me. So someone would have had to report me to her and then she would have had to look into my stories to find it because I did that story weeks ago. I just try to be honest in how I view things, but I don't go out to attack authors or readers.
