I would describe the emotions I felt whilst reading this book from heart wrenching to heart warming and everything in-between.
Very well done.

This had so much charm, with Anne being so loveable, if at times a little annoying. What was great too was that all the other characters were equally as loveable and believable, and I was easily swept away to Avonlea each time I pressed play (the audiobook with Rachel McAdams is fab).
The only thing I found a bit strange is that Anne didn’t obviously age. I know that may have been to keep her lovely personality, I but I honestly had no clue she had aged as quickly as she had until the end of the book.

This has easily become one of my favorite classiscs.
The charcters were so livid and real. I definitly could picture couple Josie Pyes in my life. Matthew and Marilla were both so well-written I am still shocked they are not real. Marilla’s strong stubborn demeanor and affection she develops for Anne is unbelivable. Diana is truly a masterpiece of a friend, and It is great to know that they had a concept of soulamates in the 1900s as well. The setting of the story could not be more beautiful. From Haunted Woods to Lover’s Lane, Avolnea and Green Gables is forever in my heart. The flowers and the brook and the breze and the pink skies and frozen winterlands had painted the most beautiful scenery in the world.
Anne’s charcter is unbelivably unique and gentle. I have never read about a person who had so much to say, to see, to live, and to dream. The growth of her manners and personality has truly reflected the growth I felt as a teenager. From crying about my hair to messing up recipies, Anne has represented us all. She is truly one of a kind. I don’t think I’ve ever wished for a chracter to be real as much. The plot was all Anne. As it says” SHE IS THE BOOK.” There is no doubt in that. To flourish with her on the journey of life has been a real wonder. I can not wait for more books to hear about her next adventures!
