This is a beautiful, heartfelt, captivating wordless graphic novel. I cried while reading it, which I didn't expect to do. I absolutely loved and admired how much the author was able to portray with only the art. I'll be thinking about this one for a long time.

I do agree with another reviewer who said this seems to be more geared towards adults who can understand the history behind it. I'm not sure middle grade readers would get as much out of it, however I expect it to start a lot of conversations and spark some research!

I’m new to graphic novels, and went to my local library and grabbed a large stack of them a couple weeks ago… and then left them in a bag.

I grabbed a few and brought them to work with me and picked this one up with my morning coffee in the park and it was beautiful. The storyline is so moving, the art is incredible. I am so grateful for artists and authors for bringing stories different than mine to life.

This story moved me to tears, and joy and happiness and sadness and concern and fears. Thank you for this peak into a difficult time and difficult world.

Beautiful wordless graphic about a girl fleeing Cuba in the ‘60s during a tumultuous time. Stunning art and heartfelt story.

A wordless graphic novel focused on a young girls experience being sent away from her home in Cuba when the revolution began.

I did not know anything about the Peter Pan operation that took 14000 Cuban children out of Castro’s Cuba and placed them in US foster families. This is a wordless graphic novel other than sounds and signs, and the use of color is fantastic. Highly recommend.
