Lucy Score delivered, once again, on the over-the-top tweaked small town ridiculousness in a manner I really enjoy. The romance was hot, the setting lovely and the characters diverse and rootable.

3.5⭐️ okay, so I love Lucy and all the characters she writes and the dynamics between everyone in her books. She’s a fantastic story teller and I love to read her books.
Sooo for this one…
I liked the MCs and I loved the dynamic between all the siblings and the friends. I laughed and smiled a lot because I just love the humor. I can’t wait to read more about the people in this town, especially Levi.
However…
I waffled between a 3.5 and a 4 star because while I do love Lucy’s books and the whole small town story that she creates so well, something just felt like it was missing from this book and the last like 20% felt rushed so I stuck with the 3.5.
I felt like the first half was better. And with how Hazel and Cam talked about miscommunication, I was honestly expecting more depth and better communication than what we got for the “third act breakup”.
Either way, it wasn’t a bad book, I liked it and the characters, it’s just not one of my favorites by Lucy.
