This might be my new favorite Lucy Score book. Our FMC is a writer that moves to a small town to basically get her mojo back. She gets a lot more than she bargained for. This has all our favorite troupes…. Small town, grumpy sunshine, a little bit of forbidden romance (slightly), cute animals, redemption, and hot brothers for more stories to come. What more could you ask for. I really enjoyed listening to this book that was gifted to me from Hambright PR.

I really love Lucy Score and her small town love stories. I did like this book and I wanted to love it but the love story itself felt too far-fetched and unrealistic. The town was perfect and the characters were lovable and entertaining I just didn’t feel as connected as I wanted to Cam & Hazel. I will say though, extra points for the accessibility story line! Wheelchairs aren’t represented nearly enough in fiction.
Although I’m giving this one a 3 I will say, I plan to read the next book in the series but if someone were to ask me for a recommendation I would refer them to some of Lucy’s other series before this one.

2 - I didn’t like the book but I can understand why other people like the book
3 - I liked the book but not enough that I would recommend it when someone asks me for book recs

I immediately fell in love with Story Lake. I would have my bags packed and be headed there right away if it was an option. Hazel and Zoey are the perfect duo to take on a small town. I love how Zoey supports her through everything. That is a true friend.
Can we take a minute to appreciate the Bishop Brothers. Heck the whole Bishop family? They are amazing and really depict how a family should be. They love each other through thick and thin. It is everything I dream about in a family.
Also the whole town of Story Lake just sucks you in and welcomes you like a warm hug. This town is full of so many diverse characters that make it quirky and fun. I just love it.
Hazel and Campbell?! They truly belong together and I was rooting for them from the start! They bring out the best in each other.
I absolutely loved this book. It has everything you could want: drama, romance, humor, and a happily ever after. It is a must read!
