I almost dnfed, but I'm glad I stayed. It was just 'okay' :D (I'm make a joke from the book)

In seriousness, I didn't like the beginning at all. But after a few chapters I liked where it was headed. Yeah it might seem like other books of it's category but the characters are funny which made me stay. I also like the different story lines that we could see the small connections through at each chapter.

It's just really funny, unexpectedly so. Informative too, without being arrogant. Not too kangaroo-y either. I did not expect to have such a good time with this book. An easy read about the ridiculous loopholes and bizarre developments of a consumerist, monopolised, digitalised society.

The story itself is okay, but it’s nothing that I would give 4 stars for. What convinced me though was the fact that the book manages to balance between funny jokes, horrifying (and realistic!) dystopian ideas and interesting thoughts that don’t try too hard. It’s a quick and easy read you’ll probably not regret.
