Ok the plumber?????? I do NOT remember that

Oh lord. The ending reveal was insane because who the fuck is that but also JENNA? REALLY? she was done so badly in this series is annoying. also im starting to be annoyed by the constant repeat of what happened in the books before. Every other chapter we get, again, an explanation on something we have covered in the other books over and over. Give me some new information please! Either way, Hanna having a chapter called “hanna interrupted” sealed the deal to me; she has bpd canonically in my eyes. Spencer’s parents reveal was…ridiculous, to say less. I hate the explanation and it was stupid, and the latest chapters with them and the reveal of the cheating were more interesting than the adopted/not adopted thing. Emily’s plot was lowkey boring even if it was important, and shes so annoying about Ali that i feel homophobic (not really). Finally Aria, I stoped paying attention every time she was the focus because I couldn’t care less. She had two boyfriends in this books (not at the same time but lol) and the only interesting thing out of her plot is literally the suicide parts, both from her boyfriend and Ali. What even happened with her “new stepdad” plotline?? hopefully the next one us better!

Okay, seven books in, but I'm finally starting to like the characters.

This was the most interesting one so far! I can't wait to find out who the new A is!

Is Ali really alive? Heartless, book 7 in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard has yet to fully answer that question. Now if you've read spoilers and have seen the TV show, you know the answer, but lets say for the sake of arguments you're a reader pretending you don't know how all this deception in Rosewood plays out. In that case, you really are trying to determine, have the girls actually seen Ali or maybe they're just being haunted?

Heartless continues the saga of our Liars: Aria, Spencer, Hanna, and Emily as they try to cover up the many things they don't want people (and each other) to know while they attempt to move past Ali's disappearance and apparent murder. But are they suspects? The media seems to think so, as does the public, their classmates, and even the Rosewood police department. However, in a twist, we discover that there may be an actual real killer and he's struck again.

With Heartless, it feels like author Shepard is getting closer to her reveal about Ali--is she alive and if she is, where has she been? Is the body found in her backyard really her or is Leah, the Amish girl that Emily thinks Wilden killed. And who has been sending Spencer texts if it wasn't Ian? Maybe Ian really is dead? Are Ali and Spencer sisters? So much going on and revealed in this book, but it actually leaves the reader with more questions. And I'm okay with that as I already have book 8 ready to open.

I'm hooked on the series.

This book was a solid additional to the series!! It started strong and stayed strong until the very end. Heartless totally made up for Killer being a little slow. This book kept me at the edge of my seat and I was totally hooked from the first chapter until the last. An issue I’ve had with books 5 and 6 was that it felt like all the action was in the last chapter, but not with Heartless. There were twists and turns throughout that made put this book down very difficult. I just had to know what was going to happen! I thought the ending for the last book was great, but this one was even better. Can't wait to see what the next book brings.
