This was the first book in the series that I read after starting the TV show, and it was a bit odd going back to the books since the show obviously changes some thing and the girls are usually together in the show where they tend to have four separate storylines in the books. I thought the Emily storyline was by far the weakest with only the faintest attempt made to turn it into anything besides and excuse to introduce the Wilden clues. Spencer's storyline drove the story for me with the most critical pieces of concrete story playing out in her life. Hannah's trip to the metal institute was interesting and possibly has potential if there ends up being a connection between Alison and Iris. Aria's attempts to contact Alison's spirit didn't interest me much since I figured any info she got from this attempt would be bogus anyway. Overall an average book in the series.

I liked this book the most out of the last 4. However, I have the same problem I do with the other 4 books (the last 4 books of this series to come out as of Jan. 2011). I just felt she was dragging it out when it would have been great to finish it on the 4th book and swap the 8th books' storyline for the 4th book. However, looking at the overall plot, I do like how it turned out and this book was very interesting and had a lot of suspense.

I don’t think I can ever get over A sending Emily to Amish country… that was so unexpected LOL

Okay so just when I thought thinking were getting a little stale they threw in an ending like that. I am still reeling from it. On to the next book.

A lot of BS assumptions made up out of thin air with no evidence. meh
I don't see how this book was better than any of the previous ones. I rolled my eyes so much that I thought they'd fall out of my head.
