Grab the tissues.

This book absolutely wrecked me. I was still crying 45 mins after finishing it. Romance, heartbreak, tragedy all in one book. The amount of trauma one person has to go through and the special bond of twins and best friends that can't be broken.

So, I was marinating in my feelings for a month before I could come write this review. This book put me in a nasty book hangover. I couldn’t read anything for over a week after I finished reading it.

Okay, so this is good. I mean this is real good BUT it is also so damn heartbreaking. I went into this completely blind and I was not ready for the sadness I would be experiencing. I ugly cried during most of the book. Anyways, I absolutely loved reading the letters between Beckett and Ella. You truly got to witness them falling in love with each other before even meeting. It was also beautiful seeing their relationship progress in person and Beckett stole my heart with how he treated and loved the twins. The slow burn was delicious and worth the wait.

The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because I felt like Rebecca Yarros just kicked me while I was down with that ending. That last twist at the end was so unnecessary! WHY? Also, the big secret Beckett was keeping from Ella just made her look dumb. Like how did you not immediately put it two and two together? Besides that the book was beautifully written and has been one of the most emotional books I’ve ever read.

With that said be ready to be left curled up in the fetal position screaming, crying, and throwing up. OH, AND GOOGLE THE CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNINGS FIRST. DO NOT GO IN BLIND!
