OMG this book... I don't know what to say or how to rate it because I LOVED IT but at the same time I HATE IT just as much, I wish there was an alternate ending so we could choose which way it could go. Top thing though this book pissed me off and not really what I wanted, plus it should have been a series not a full book :) but it shuld be read if not your missing out!

I was looking for books to read that will make me cry. I had a few recommendations, and I wanted to read this book since the plot looks nice. From the reviews, I can see that it really makes people emotional. At 12:00 AM (midnight), I started reading it.

-spoilers beyond this point. don't say I didn't warn you.-

At first, the story was very fast-paced. In less than two weeks, she managed to fall in love with two guys so easily. Then Brandon and Harper were in a relationship. Then there's this thing with Amanda. Then Carter comes and messes things up. What I mean to say is, in a matter of few pages, so much has happened. In a couple of weeks, all those happened. Harper is really one messed up chick.

Thankfully, after that, everything was fine. I just can't believe how I really cried. I finished the book at appx 3:35 AM. I stayed up 'til this time just to finish it. I don't even stay up like this to study! Haha.

I seriously have never cried like this because of a book before. I am an emotional wreck. Wow. Just, wow. I cannot fathom how emotional I was over this book. It's not so popular, but thanks to the person who recommended it to me, I was able to read it and be enchanted. :)

Where do I begin? I liked the book. I loved the writing style as well as the development of the characters. But I had a few issues. First, Chase loved Harper without knowing anything about her, other than she was PG. from what I could gather with what was written he didn't converse with her long enough to know much else.
Secondly, why would she betray Brandon like that? He was so good to her. I couldn't believe how horribly she treated him. After she had such a fit over the Amanda texts. I was livid. I understood her desire for Chase. But it made be loose all respect for her.
Third, of course she gets knocked up!!! Really!!! Predictable. And Chase being so in love with her is right there to take over.
Fourth, Brandon is too compassionate and perfect. He never stops loving her and takes over where Chase leaves off. I hated that part the most. How can everyone be okay with this mess of a triangle? Everyone?

Well it has been a long time since I could not put a book down. Stayed up all night reading this one. Best read in awhile. Great job Molly mcadams!!!

Spoilers ahead
Writing is sorta boring and predictable.
Harper is insufferable, she cheats on Brandon, who is like the perfect bf, with Chase, a player who doesn’t respect her physical boundaries at all.
And then she falls pregnant and Chase isn’t even mad when he finds out she hid it from him?!
And then Chase dies in an accident… she marries Brandon and falls pregnant and they live happily ever after. Like cmon???
also the book was so longgg.

Harper is moving as far away from her cold military father as possible to attend college. When she gets to California, she fast becomes best friends with her roommate, Breanna, and Bree is more than happy to introduce Harper to the life she's been missing out on. Harper is quick to rebel: parties, drinking, tattoos, and falling head over heels for not one, but two gorgeous guys.

Harper has put herself in an impossible situation, and no matter who she chooses her heart will break. In a matter of just 4 months, Harper's life is changed completely and dramatically, and the repercussions will shape not only her future, but that of those she's come to love now that she's on her own.

While no one in this book was perfect, the way things came together made for an addictingly readable story. I read well into the night and had a pile of tissues next to my bed as evidence.

So, let's start with Harper. I had my moments if dislike for her, definitely. It's hard for me to believe someone can be so naive, with some of the things she did. She was basically raised on military bases with no female presence in her life. She's one of those annoying girls in books that is absolutely stunning but has no idea, and everyone she meets (not just guys) is instantly taken with her. She was kind of a Mary Sue in some ways, but in others she was heartbreakingly real and just so young.

I did not have a hard time believing at all that she was in love with both guys, and that they both were in love with her. The relationships are really what make this book shine. Brandon is a sensitive, quiet guy who makes a living doing underground MMA fights. Chase is the womanizing brother of Bree, but he connects with Harper and she becomes one of his favorites when he sees how his teasing affects her. Harper's relationship with each guy is different but I can definitely see how much she loved both. I honestly don't know what I would have done in her position.

This is one of those books that made me wonder, "what would have happened IF..."; there is a gut-twisting moment where Harper's life is changed in an instant, and I can't help but wonder would would have happened, who would she have chosen if that moment had never occurred. I know I will be thinking about this book for a long time to come.

Yes, there were more than a few cry-worthy moments, but the book ended things on a very high note and I was very happy with it. This author is talented, and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

*EDITING TO ADD: GEEZ, I'm SO glad I don't read other people's reviews before I decide to read a book. I can't believe the top reviews for this book are so vicious and snarky, when the overall rating on GR is over a 4. A 4!! Yes, I had the same issues as some of the people posting negative reviews, but geez some of you are Goddamn impossible to please, and I honestly believe lots of the "reviewers" who post negative reviews are doing it just to get the likes, because people will continue to upvote reviews containing superfluous GIFs. It saddens me that those reviews are the ones that will stay at the top. I really, truly, hate the GoodReads hive mind. On that note, I'm not sure why I wrote this edit at all because none of those it's about will actually read it.

I really liked this book but felt it could have ended 100 pages early. I don't think book two is necessary and don't plan to read it.
