These books are beasts—they’re long, emotional roller coasters with about a thousand characters (only partially exaggerating). They wreck you, pat you on the back, and then wreck you again. Instead of a deep dive, I’m just going to hit a few moments I loved (minor details but no big spoilers!).

✨ New year at the Academy means new characters—and I’m living for more cinnamon roll Xavier. If his character arc turns, I’ll cry.

✨ THAT dragon ride. My heart. Wouldn’t it be amazing to actually ride a dragon? Or Darius, I'd like either.

✨ Lionel Acrux, you absolute evil bastard. But the “Butt Dust” article?! I cried laughing. Clara “living in Lionel’s ass cheeks” might be the funniest mental image I’ve ever read.

✨ Seth and Caleb!! I was grinning like crazy. Seth is so infuriating and so funny. His “helpful” tactics toward Orion? Chef’s kiss terrible.

✨ Orion, you slimy bastard—I adore you. I loved him, hated him, loved him again. He’s one of my ultimate book boyfriends and no one can talk me out of it.

✨ Geraldine, you beautiful, weird, crude little gem. I still want you as my bestie.

And that ending? Brutal, of course. I didn’t expect anything less. Guess it’s time to dive into book 7 and let my heart get stomped on again.
