Witty and fun, I love this book along with the others. I think it's great that we now have Morwen's point of view and how she interacts with all of her cats. I love all the little nod's Wrede does to the old fairy tales. Even with the Old MacDonald song. This is a great series and I'm pretty sure it's one of those books that will always make me smile, always make me laugh, and always be in my library. For fourth grade on up.

I feel like more people need to know about this series. I know of two other people who love this series as much as I do. It's a series where you don't have to worry about anything being too much. There is enough adventure, fantasy, magic, animals, princesses, love, and humor. This is just a great find.

When I read this when I was 12 or 13, this series was one of my favorites. While it is still fun, it is not as good as I remembered it being. I think it just works better for a younger audience. I'm rating it a "3" because I feel nostalgic about this series, but it was probably more of a "2" for a reread. I only have one more book in the series to reread, but I'm not sure I'm going to do it. We'll see if I get around to it. Still, the characters are likable and funny. Although the plot is silly, it is a fun, lighthearted read (which sometimes is much needed!). I would definitely recommend this series for younger readers but maybe not so much for adults (even adults that still love YA and middle grade).

I loved Morwen as a narrator, especially her interactions with her cats. ^_^ The multi-threading conversations gave the story a bit more depth.
Nostalgia factor: This is the first book series I remember reading where I had to wait for the next book to come out and of course, it was after reading the first 3 books that I discovered this. I remember being on pins and needles to see what would happen next.
I was happy to see that this book lived up to my memory of it. (Only this time I can move straight to book 4!)

This was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed the addition of the cat's perspective from Morwen's POV. However, this was the first one that didn't wrap up well at the end - that severely limited my enjoyment of the book as whole. Perhaps the last one will make up for it, but I'm very frustrated at the ending.

Another delightful installment, I loved getting so much of the story from Morwen's pov. It was fun to have all the cat commentary! The full cast does a great job giving each character a distinct way of talking and making their personality really shine. Couldn't stand Killer though. But I think that was probably on purpose. I'm a little shocked at the ending, I think this is the first book in the series so far that didn't completely wrap everything up, and left me hanging! On to the next I guess!
