Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced copy. I went into this one excited since the first one was good. This one wasn’t as fabulous as the first. It took FOREVER to actually get interesting! So much babbling and less plot. I listened to this one and the whining of the children was unbearable. Absolutely awful. The storyline was ok, but I was expecting more. I think this is one of those books where the sequel wasn’t necessary. The first 50% of the book wasn’t really needed in my opinion, it seemed like filler. There was a LOT of repetition in this one too. Lo was less likeable in this book, the first one she was great. I’m glad I read it, but if you skipped this one, you wouldn’t be missing much.

DID NOT FINISH: 26%

Characters making stupid decisions is the fastest way for me to dnf a book.

I actually liked this better than The Woman in Cabin 10, but I can only see a character make the exact same mistake so many times 🙃 that said, I love Ruth Ware and enjoyed this book overall.
