Lo has recovered from her ordeal on the cruise ship, had a couple of kids, survived Covid and is preparing to get back into working. When she is sent an invite to an exclusive Hotel launch in Switzerland - run by the Leidmann group - she sees it as the ideal opportunity to test the waters.
Her journey begins with an unexpected upgrade to first class, and when she arrives she is met by a number of guests that were on the cruise with her. Another familiar face - very much unexpected - pops up, with a crazy scheme she needs Lo’s help with.
What follows is preposterous.
The story involves a murder which Lo is arrested for, and her desperate attempts to prove her innocence. Truly unbelievable!

I really don't like a narrator-is-wrongfully-accused book and this is the second time Ruth Ware has used this trope. I also HATE Carrie (spelling? I listened to audio) Great audio narrator though, as always.

Oof! I was looking forward to this book and it ended up being a slog for me. I remember enjoying The Woman in Cabin 10. Turns out, I didn't need to revisit Lo.

This book was good. I will admit at first I just couldn't get into it so I was afraid I wasn't going to enjoy it but as the story progressed I found myself completely absorbed in the story. It was fun to reunite with many of the characters from the first book (The Woman in Cabin 10) and meet some less than pleasant and pleasant new characters.
In this story, Lo gets invited to a luxury hotel for her journalism. She goes but it seems like trouble just seems to follow poor Lo everywhere she goes and this is no exception. Twists, turns, and utter surprises await as you turn each page of this story. I won't tell you much so that I don't spoil anything but this is a good book.
I did like the first book just a bit more but this is a solid second book in the series.
