Lo Blacklock remains an infuriatingly clueless protagonist who makes a series of dumb decisions. But I still preferred this to The Woman in Cabin 10! I think the story moved faster! The big reveal was rather predictable. And the entire plot hinges on Lo's daftness and willingness to go along with a lunatic plan presented to her by an old friend

Carrie from book one, who becomes a major player and is up to major hijinks again here.

The writing style and the mega climax are classically Ruth Ware. I was entertained.
