Follow-up to the Woman in Cabin 10. I found it stretched belief what Lo was willing to believe and to do to support someone she barely knew. For a writer who must be familiar with investigative work she was quite gullible.
I will never learn my lesson with Ruth Ware. I can’t help but pick up everything she publishes out of curiosity, but I am consistently disappointed. When I saw this was a sequel of sorts to The Woman in Cabin 10, I thought we might get that Ruth Ware psychological thriller magic back. Unfortunately this book was a nothing burger. No surprising plot twists, just a completely incredulous series of events that are supposed to feel like a big gotcha at the end, but fall completely flat. If you pick this up, be prepared to spend 400 pages inside the thoughts of an insufferable main character. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

LOVE that Ruth Ware came back to Lo's story as The Woman in Cabin 10 is one of my favorites from the author. Meet up with Lo again after a decade has passed (her time and also time between book publications! Although I only read The Woman in Cabin 10 a couple years ago) was a lot of fun - it was great to see her as a mother. I had forgotten a lot of plot details from the first book, but feel like Ware wove enough backstory in to help me remember who was who. I also loved trying to sort out the door lock times myself. The whodunnit aspect was great in this one even though there really weren't too many suspects. The last two books from Ware weren't quite for me, so I was extremely pleased that this one felt like it went back to the style of her earlier novels! The only thing that is still bothering me about this one is why did Ben have that train ticket?? I don't think that was ever addressed??

Really far-fetched, but fun!! Really enjoy part 2 and part 4 most. Definitely need to read the original first. WHY DID BEN HAVE A TRAIN TICKET?????
